How Sperity Classical began

Today’s classical music scene is rich with remarkable artists: musicians with a distinctive voice, original ideas and the potential to bring fresh air to the concert stage. Yet many of them work without the guidance of an artist management. They may lack a clear sense of how to shape their artistic vision into a sustainable career, or how to present it to the industry.

At the same time, presenters, festivals and curators are constantly searching for fresh voices, but they need artists who arrive prepared and bring audiences of their own. Inviting an artist without professional materials or a clear picture of the industry often means extensive communication. Without a clear profile or an established presence, the full weight of promotion, and much of the financial risk, rests on the presenter alone.

Sperity Classical was founded to bridge this gap.

Founder Jessie Hong has spent over a decade in the German-speaking classical music industry, working with major classical music labels and leading marketing at one of Europe’s oldest concert promoters, overseeing more than 120 concerts a year at the Berlin Philharmonie and Konzerthaus. Having worked on the side of labels and concert presenters, she understands what the industry needs and what it takes for an artist to be heard.

Every artist presented by Sperity Classical develops their artistic identity, programmes and career with Jessie’s guidance, so that they come to each collaboration well prepared and ready to share their music with audiences, both their own and new ones. For presenters, this means fresh artistic voices and a shared commitment to bringing audiences into the hall.
